Religious Education
Our MissionOur mission is to provide the youth of this fellowship a foundation based on Unitarian Universalist principles, and a community dedicated to providing an environment in which spiritual awareness, tolerance, acceptance, and personal growth can be nurtured and developed according to each child’s unique nature.
Religious Education classes are offered from September through June for children and youth ages 3-14, on the 2nd Sunday of every month. We base our lessons on the UUA's "Holidays and Holy Days" Curriculum. We use Unitarian Universalist curricula in multi-age classes with a group of committed volunteer teachers. We hope that your family will find a home for their spiritual growth in our programs. |
Be a Volunteer TeacherWould you like to teach an RE class? Do you have a special skill that the children who join us on Sundays would benefit from? Cooking, teaching, nature, anything would be amazing. Do you have an interest in any of the world religions that you have always been curious to look into --perfect opportunity to learn yourself and create a project for the kids! This year, we will put the schedule up for Religious Education and you are welcome to volunteer to take one of the topics or give us two weeks' notice and do your own creative 30-minute lesson! Please contact Ginger for more information. We really need everyone's contribution to teach this year.
