Cakes for the Queen of Heaven: In Ancient Times
RE program for women and teenage girls highlighting the connection between our long ago ancestors' understanding of the divine in feminine form and our lives today. The topics for the five sessions are "The Sacred Female." "The First Turning - The Shift from Goddess to God," "In the Name of the Mother and the Daughter," "Womanpower," and "Reclaiming Women's Heritage of Peace."
The series will begin on Saturday, March 9th and meet biweekly - March 9, March 23, April 6, April 20, and May 3. At this time we are asking for a commitment to plan to attend at least four of the five sessions which must include session 1 and/or session 2. (Emergencies and sickness do occur but I'd like you to plan on your calendar to come)
We will meet in Doris Diamond's home in East Setauket from 2 PM until about 4 - 4:30.

IARF-USA is the United States Chapter of IARF Religions for Peace (formerly World Conference of Religions for Peace) is an international multi-religious organization dedicated to reaffirming religion's moral commitment to peace and to translating shared concerns into practical, effective action. On local, national, regional, and global levels, Religions for Peaceconvenes meetings and assemblies to promote dialogue on the peace-promoting teachings of religions. This dialogue, in turn, provides a basis for commitments to common actions. Religions for Peace-USA Religions for Peace-USA is a regional affiliate of the global organization.
